Things To Do in Dubai

The number of activities and things you can do in Dubai is increasing day by day, with new items being added to the list. However, there are some activities that are a must in Dubai. In our Dubai To-Do List, I’ll be listing these activities one by one. 🙂

1. Burj Khalifa

The 124th and 125th floors of the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa, are open to visitors from 10 am to 11 pm. You can purchase your tickets online here according to the day and time you prefer and enjoy the breathtaking view. Before buying tickets, I recommend checking the weather because on some days, when the weather is overcast, the view might not be as clear.

2. Desert Safari

A must-have on the Dubai to-do list is, of course, the desert safari. The desert in Dubai is like golden sand. The sand dunes formed by the wind in the desert and the colors created by the sun are truly legendary. There are many different companies where you can experience safari. They pick you up from where you stay with 4x4s and take you to the desert. Camel riding is usually included in the safari package. Some tours may also include having dinner and dance shows in an oasis in the desert. I recommend morning half-day tours made early in the morning. You can check out tickets here.

3. Future Museum

Opened on 22.02.2022, the Future Museum is the newest addition to the list. With innovation and a futuristic design, the Future Museum has 7 floors and takes you to the year 2071. The exterior of the museum is adorned with three quotes from an Arabic poem that I have added below. You can get your tickets here.

We won’t live for hundreds of years, but we can create something that will last for hundreds of years. The future will be for those who will be able to imagine, design, and build it; the future does not wait, the future can be designed and built today. The secret of the renewal of life, the development of civilization, and the progress of humanity is in one word: innovation.

4. Miracle Garden

This vast area, where 150 million flowers come together, has beautiful structures made of flowers. Miracle Garden, which has entered the Guinness Book of Records with its size, is visited by millions of people from September to April. It is usually closed from May to September as the weather warms up. You wouldn’t want to wait in long lines; you can get your tickets here.

5. Mall of Emirates & Ski Dubai

Ski Dubai, located inside the Mall of Emirates, is the only place in the United Arab Emirates where you can ski and snowboard. In addition to doing all winter activities inside Ski Dubai, you can even see penguins. Since there is no winter season normally, we can say that this is the place where most children living in Dubai meet snow for the first time. You can check ticket prices here.

6. Aquariums

There are two large underwater aquariums in Dubai. The Dubai Aquarium located in the Dubai Mall and the Lost Chambers Aquarium in the Palm, with Dubai Aquarium being a bit larger, but there is not much difference between them. Choose whichever suits you in terms of location and price. You can check details for Dubai Aquarium here and Lost Chambers Aquarium ticket details here.

8. Dubai Frame

Designed in the shape of a giant photo frame, the Dubai Frame allows you to see both old and new Dubai at the same time. While walking on the glass floor on the Dubai Frame, you can also learn a lot about the history of Dubai. You can check Dubai Frame tickets here.

9. Dubai Parks & Resorts

With 4 different sections inside, Dubai Parks & Resorts is located just outside Dubai. The Riverland section is designed as a French village and the entrance is free. However, you need to buy tickets for Legoland, Bollywood, and MotionGate. The part with the most water parks is Motion Gate, as can be understood from its name. 🙂 You can check details here.

10. Yacht Tour

The best place to see the Dubai Marina view is definitely a yacht tour. When the weather improves in October, the boat tour season opens in Dubai. Both residents and tourists flock to boats to enjoy the sea and beautiful weather. If you are coming between October and May, I strongly recommend trying a boat tour. You can set the duration and route of the tour as you like and even swim. You can check yacht tour options here.

You need to meet certain criteria regarding height, weight, and health for Skydive. You can check details and ticket prices here. I recommend doing this activity in winter, in clear weather for a better view.

12. Global Village

Global Village is a large festival area where more than 30 countries have separate areas, and you can try hundreds of different local foods. If you want to try different foods and buy souvenirs, be sure to visit here. Firework shows are held on weekends, and it becomes quite lively. In addition, while Global Village is open from October to April, it does not accept visitors from May to September. You can check ticket prices and details here.

13. Green Planet

With lazy animals, toucans, piranhas, and many different animals and plants, the Green Planet is a beautiful activity area generally preferred by families with children. You can think of it as a green and mini zoo. You can check ticket details here.

14. Kite Beach

Kite Beach is the longest beach in Dubai. In addition to swimming here, there are many activities such as beach volleyball and surfing. There is also a bike path along the entire shoreline. You can rent a bike through the Careem app and explore this coastline from end to end.

15. Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood

This area, designed in the shape of an old Middle Eastern village, is very enjoyable to explore. Although the buildings may not be historical, you can feel the culture. I recommend getting a coffee here, wandering around, and seeing another face of Dubai away from the skyscraper areas.
